About you. You will: hold (or be soon to be awarded) a PhD in Philosophy; provide evidence of specialism in Political Philosophy; and have experience in teaching, researching or similar employment in higher education.

As London’s Global University, we are committed to equality of opportunity, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where all belong. We therefore particularly encourage applications from candidates whose backgrounds are typically underrepresented in philosophy.

About us. This is a joint appointment by UCL's departments of Philosophy and EISPS.

The Department of Philosophy is widely considered to be one of the leading philosophy departments in the UK. In the 2021 REF, 60% of our overall profile received the top grade (4*), the highest of any UK philosophy department. We offer several degree programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The Department of European and International Social and Political Studies (EISPS) offers three highly selective and challenging four-year programmes, that allow our students to experience the best of UCL arts, humanities and social sciences, and prepare them for international careers. The programmes combine specialisation in a humanity or social science with a broad base in European or international history, law, politics and philosophy as well as fluency in a foreign language.
