Female philosopher specialized in Normative Ethics or Metaethics (EXPIRED)

The Philosophy Institute of the Universidad San Sebastian (Chile) and its Ph.D in Philosophy Programme, invites applications from female academics for a full-time position as a research professor, beginning 1 January 2025. 

Requirements:

(1) Priority will be given to female candidates in the selection process. 

(2) A Ph.D degree in Philosophy. 

(3) Specialization in Normative Ethics or Metaethics. Applicants must show evidence of at least 3 publications, published in Scopus or WoS within the last five years, related to either of these fields (or both).  

(4) Proficiency in English.

(5) Proficiency in Spanish is desirable, otherwise a commitment to learn Spanish will be required.

* Proficiency in other languages will be favourably considered, as well as participation in research proyects externally funded. 

Responsibilities: 

Candidates are expected to conduct internationally visible research and to demonstrate teaching competence in the area of Normative Ethics and/or Metaethics. They will be expected to teach in our Ph.D in Philosophy Programme, as well as teaching at least one undergraduate course per year. 

Candidates are also expected to show commitment to the values of the Universidad San Sebastián.
