Department of Philosophy Three-Year Postdoctoral Research Associate in Medieval Philosophy  

Date Available: August 2025

Purdue University’s Department of Philosophy is seeking a medieval philosopher for a three-year postdoctoral research associate position (August 1, 2025–July 31, 2027). AOS: Medieval philosophy; AOC: Open.

Principle Duties: Purdue is a member of the American Association of Universities, and seeks a philosopher of exceptional promise who will contribute to the excellence of our department and college. Teaching load is 2-3 courses/year, undergraduate and graduate. The position includes a salary of $52,000 and an annual research allowance of $1,500.

Qualifications: To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have received a Ph.D. in philosophy between September 1, 2020 and June 30, 2025.
The College: The College of Liberal Arts at Purdue University is embarking upon searches for a number of faculty and postdoctoral positions to begin in Fall 2025. These positions will advance research within and across disciplines, and intersect with technology, data science, and engineering in relevant and important ways.
