Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Saint Anselm College, a Roman Catholic undergraduate liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition in Manchester, NH invites applications for a three-year Assistant Professor position to begin August 2025. Area of Specialization (AOS) is Open; Area of Competence (AOC) is one or more of the following: Applied Ethics, Metaphysics and Epistemology, or Modern Philosophy. The teaching load for this position is three courses per semester.

The successful candidate will have a sympathy for and understanding of the Catholic philosophical tradition and will teach courses throughout the curriculum that fulfill the two philosophy core learning outcomes: theoretical and ethical reasoning.

Required Skills and Experience:  A Ph.D. in Philosophy is preferred, although advanced ABD’s will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level as well as scholarly research.
