Postdoctoral Research Associate l

The Freedom Center is in search of a Postdoctoral Research Associate. The position will begin September 2025 for a full time, 1 year (potentially renewable) appointment. This position will pursue research activities as related to their expertise of study with special interest in applicants who pursue research related to markets and democracy. This position will work closely with the Master of Legal Studies program that is joint with the James E. Rogers College of Law, having the opportunity to facilitate courses in the Law and Economics concentration and assist with other Freedom Center activities such as organizing the Freedom Center talk series and helping with the Visiting Fellows program. Postdoc Appointment Term: 2025-2026, with potential to renew The Freedom Center was founded in 2008 and is a University Center in the Office for Research, Innovation & Impact. It provides research, teaching, and programming that is grounded in individual freedom and honors people’s right to constructively disagree. Our faculty draw from philosophy, politics, economics, law, and ethics to enhance our understanding of the elements that shape individual and societal prosperity. Center scholars also include post-doctoral fellows, Ph.D. students in philosophy, and Visiting and Research Fellows we host from universities worldwide The ideal candidate will pursue self-directed research. We are looking for a recent Ph.D. in Philosophy, Economics or Law that will fit in with the research of the Freedom Center.
