Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer, Philosophy of Physics, Mathematics, and Logic

The Yale Department of Philosophy invites applications for 2 consecutive one year appointments as Postdoctoral Associate with a secondary appointment as a Lecturer beginning July 1, 2025. 

Area of Specialty (AOS): Philosophy of Physics and/or Philosophy of Mathematics

Area of Competence (AOC): Logic

Alongside pursuing their own research, the Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer will be expected to teach two courses per year, presumptively in one or more of the areas of Philosophy of Physics, Philosophy of Mathematics or logic and which answer to the department’s curricular needs, the precise courses to be determined in consultation with the department’s curricular committee.

Qualifications: Applicants must have completed all the requirements for a doctorate in Philosophy by June 30, 2025.

Required application materials: CV, writing sample, research statement, teaching statement, sample syllabi, and a minimum of three reference letters.
