Job Summary The University of the Fraser Valley’s Department of Philosophy invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy with an expected start date of August 1, 2025. Research and teaching interests must include Global philosophy, Comparative Philosophy, and/or Asian Philosophy. The department is looking for someone to teach Chinese philosophy and Philosophies of India in addition to a range of lower-level introductory philosophy courses, including Critical Thinking and Introduction to Metaphysics and Epistemology. Applicants who can also teach Philosophy of Religion and/or Philosophy of Law will be prioritized. The successful candidate will have completed, or be near completion of, a PhD in Philosophy with an established portfolio of research and/or teaching experience in Global philosophy, Comparative philosophy, and/or Asian philosophy.
