Assistant or Associate Professor

The Thapar School of Liberal Arts and Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track position in Philosophy at the rank Assistant/Associate Professor, to commence on June 2025. Candidates are expected to have completed a Ph.D. in Philosophy. The area is open, but preference might be given to applicants with proven teaching experience and/or an active research program in the areas of continental philosophy, political and social philosophy, and philosophy and technology. All applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. Responsibilities include (a) academic research and publications; (b) teaching four courses a year over two semesters; (c) engaging in service at the School level or beyond. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
