Assistant Professor

The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position with AOS: Epistemology and AOC: Open, beginning in August 2025.

Job responsibilities are teaching, research, and service; these include teaching two introductory, lower-division, writing-intensive courses (e.g. Introduction to Philosophy or Introduction to Ethics) or Introduction to Logic and three upper-division courses (in the candidate's area of specialization or interest) distributed over a two-semester academic year, and providing service to the department, college, and university.

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Philosophy prior to appointment.
