Associate Lecturer

About the role. UCL will appoint an Associate Lecturer (teaching), for a 12-month contract covering the academic year 2025-6, with a specialism in Early Modern Philosophy.

The salary will be £43,373–£51,860 per annum (including London Allowance).

The Associate Lecturer will teach three modules during the academic year. They will also supervise some BA/MA dissertations, and act as a personal tutor for students.

About you. You will hold a PhD in philosophy, or your PhD will soon be awarded. You will have experience of teaching in higher education.

We offer several undergraduate degree programmes. Undergraduate first-year modules usually involve two hours of lectures per week; second-year modules usually involve a one-hour lecture plus a one-hour seminar per week; third year modules usually involve two hours of seminars per week.
We offer taught master’s programmes, and a prestigious research master’s and PhD. Graduate-level modules usually involve two hours of seminars per week.
