Job description |
POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP IN CONCEPTUAL ASPECTS OF EVOLUTION AND GENOMICS Cross-appointed in Dalhousie’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and its Department of Philosophy, the fellow would pursue investigation in foundations of genomics and evolution, for instance notions of “function”, levels of selection, essentialism in systematics, reticulation and cladistics, and representation of evolutionary concepts. Recent PhD in Philosophy/History of Science or in Biology/Computational Biology with demonstrated interest in conceptual issues. Two year appointment beginning after 1 April, 2014.
