Job description

Sweet Briar College, a private liberal arts institution for women, seeks a one-year non-tenure track Instructor or Assistant Professor in Philosophy for a position beginning in fall 2014.  Course load of 3/3 with all levels of undergraduate teaching expected.  Area of research specialty should be politics or ethics and candidates should be prepared to teach broadly in the history of Continental philosophy.  The ideal candidate will be committed to teaching in a small, liberal arts college setting.  Ph.D. in Philosophy preferred; will consider ABD.  Teaching experience required.
