Job description

Instructor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Western Illinois University, Macomb campus. AOS: Open, AOC: Open.  Required qualifications: ABD in philosophy.  Preferred Qualifications: PhD in philosophy by time of appointment.  Evidence of highly effective teaching, experience teaching in a public university, and active engagement in scholarship (as evidenced by a clear research agenda, conference presentations, and/or publications) that can support strong teaching and course development.   4/3 or 4/4 teaching load, with two sections of a contemporary moral problems course and two sections of an introductory philosophy course in the Fall, 2014 semester.  Start date: August 21, 2014.  Salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
