(For further information about OHS, please see http://ohs.stanford.edu.)

The Core Division is a unique and central component of the academic program at Stanford Online High School, which is designed to foster students' philosophical skills and to nurture their interdisciplinary spirits, through the subject matters of science, history of science, political theory, and philosophy. Core instruction thus features excellence in analytical, critical and creative thinking, openness to various distinct disciplines in science and humanities, and deep enthusiasm for the pursuit of philosophical investigation on fundamental questions in those disciplines.
