| Job description |
Wuhan University is seeking a new senior-level hire in social and political philosophy to take over as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Social and Political Philosophy. ABOUT US Located in the city of Wuhan, Wuhan University is an elite research university in mainland China, with the highest-ranked philosophy program in mainland China. Our large, international faculty is engaged in all areas of philosophical research, with scholars dedicated to traditional Chinese philosophy, contemporary western philosophy, ethics, aesthetics, philosophy of religion, and Marxist philosophy. Please check out our website at https://philo.whu.edu.cn/ This is a tenured position at the level of Full Professor. The primary duty associated with this profession is taking over the duties as editor-in-chief of the Journal of Social and Political Philosophy. Teaching and research obligations are negotiable. Salary highly competitive. APPLICANTS Applicants must have a strong existing record of research. Previous editorial experience not strictly required, but a major plus. The JSPP is a general journal of social and political philosophy, although it has traditionally had a strong focus on east-west comparative philosophy, with the goal of promoting dynamic engagement between East Asian and Western approaches to social and political philosophy. We are interested in a candidate who can leave their own mark on the journal while continuing to build on these existing strengths. For more information about the journal, please check out the journal website at https://www.euppublishing.com/journal/jspp. Send applications or inquiries to Dr. Xiaofei Liu at [email protected]. |
