The Philosophy Department seeks to hire a Postdoctoral Associate. The position is for 2 consecutive one-year appointments as Postdoctoral Associate with a secondary appointment as a Lecturer beginning July 1, 2026. Area of Specialty (AOS): Social and Political Issues in Metaphysics, and/or Epistemology, and/or Philosophy of Language Area of Competence (AOC): Open Alongside pursuing their own research, the Postdoctoral Associate and Lecturer will be expected to teach two courses per year, presumptively in one or more of the areas of Social and Political Issues in Metaphysics, Epistemology, or Philosophy of Language and which answer to the department’s curricular needs, the precise courses to be determined in consultation with the department’s curricular committee. Update: The funding for this position has been approved. Deadline for full consideration: April 15, 2026 Qualifications Applicants must have completed all the requirements for a doctorate in Philosophy by June 30, 2026.
