Boya Postdoc Fellowship

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Peking University invites applications for the two-year Boya Postdoctoral Fellowship. Fellows will form an interdisciplinary cohort of outstanding scholars who are expected to contribute to the department’s research goals. During the employment period, fellows are not required to teach. After the initial two years, postdoctoral fellows may apply for senior research positions within Peking University’s postdoctoral track.

Salary and benefits:

• Annual salary of 200,000 RMB.

• Additional annual housing subsidy of 60,000 RMB.

• Insurance and additional benefits.

• A PhD awarded within the past three years. Candidates who anticipate receiving their Ph.D. in 2026 may also apply. 

• Applicants must be under the age of 35.

• An explicit letter of endorsement from the prospective postdoctoral supervisor at Peking University (Assistant Professor or higher). Please get in touch with the faculty member most suited to your research project. • Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the applicant’s doctoral advisor.

Decisions will be reached by mid-April 2026.
