Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
A Ph.D. (terminal degree) in the discipline taught at the time of the appointment is expected.
Must meet SACSCOC accreditation requirements stated in C.S. 3.7.1 (www.sacscoc.org (faculty credentials))

Seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to teach discussion intensive classes

• Demonstrated ability to teach writing intensive classes

Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with one or more of the following areas of specialization (AOS):

• Philosophy of Law and the ability to mentor pre-law students.

• Philosophy of Technology with the ability to speak to issues such as AI Ethics

• Philosophy of Film

• Philosophy and Literature

• Abrahamic Traditions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam)

 Preferred Qualifications

Instructor of record for college level classes in the related discipline.
