The Department of Philosophy at Smith College invites applications for the position of Lecturer, to begin July 1, 2026. This is a full-time, non-renewable one-year position with a teaching load of five courses over two semesters. AOS: Open. AOC: Philosophy of Mind. A Ph.D. in Philosophy is expected by the time of appointment. Candidates from groups underrepresented in Philosophy are encouraged to apply. In addition to a competitive benefits package, starting pay range for this position is typically between $76,245-$78,200. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications. Located in Northampton, MA, Smith College is the largest women’s college in the country and is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research across the liberal arts.
