Assistant Professor, Epistemology or Metaphysics

The Department of Philosophy (http://philosophy.ucsd.edu) at the University of California, San Diego invites applications for a junior (tenure-track) position in epistemology or metaphysics, broadly conceived. The appointment is expected to begin 7/1/2015. Duties include active research, graduate supervision, normal committee service, and classroom teaching at all levels, including general education courses, courses for undergraduate majors and graduate seminars. The standard teaching load is four courses per year.
The department is particularly interested in recruiting candidates who display the highest standards of excellence in research, teaching and professional activity. Applicants should expect their PhD by the appointment’s start time. Salary:
Salary is commensurate with qualifications and based on University of California pay scales.
