The Department of Philosophy at Temple University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor appointment in AOS: Ethics (broadly construed) AOC: open, but philosophy of race and/or gender is preferred, to begin in Fall Semester 2015. Candidates must hold a PhD by July 1, 2015 or shortly thereafter. Candidates must demonstrate excellence in, and commitment to, both research and teaching. The normal teaching load for research-active faculty is two courses per semester. Dissertation supervision and service responsibilities are also expected. Candidates should include a cover letter, CV, research statement, writing sample, teaching statement, evidence of teaching excellence, and three confidential letters of recommendation.
