The Department of Philosophy at Ryerson University (www.ryerson.ca/philosophy) in Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The position will commence on July 1, 2015 (subject to budgetary approval). The Philosophy Department, consisting of 16 tenured and tenure-track faculty members, prides itself both on the quality of its teaching and the breadth and excellence of its research. The Department is committed to both analytic and continental approaches and traditions. Ryerson University is known for innovative programs built on the integration of theoretical and applied learning. More than 100 undergraduate and graduate programs are distinguished by a professionally focused curriculum and strong emphasis on excellence in teaching, research and creative activities.
