Position in Lonergan Studies (EXPIRED)

BOSTON COLLEGE, Chestnut Hill, MA. Open rank, tenure-track. AOS: Thought of Bernard Lonergan, S.J. AOC: Open, but we are especially interested in candidates capable of bringing Lonergan’s work into constructive dialogue with a variety of disciplines and contemporary issues. Successful candidates must demonstrate excellence in previous scholarship on the work of Lonergan, as well as excellence in teaching. Candidates will be expected to contribute significantly to the work of the Lonergan Institute at Boston College (http://bclonergan.org/), as well as to research and teaching in the Departments of Philosophy and/or Theology.  Teaching responsibilities (2-2 course load) will include undergraduate and graduate courses, plus PhD supervision.  Boston College is a Catholic university in the Jesuit tradition (http://www.bc.edu/cwis/mission/mission.html).  Dossiers must include: cover letter, CV, statements on teaching and on research, writing sample (publications if available).
