Associate Professor in Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Tutorial Fellowship in Philosophy, in association with an Associate Professorship or Professorship in Philosophy of Language

Magdalen College, Oxford and the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Oxford propose, if a suitable candidate applies, to appoint to an Official (Tutorial) Fellowship in Philosophy, in association with an Associate Professorship or Professorship in Philosophy of Language, with effect from 1 October 2015. This is a permanent position. Applications are invited from candidates whose areas of research specialisation include Philosophy of Language. The successful candidate will provide undergraduate and graduate teaching in Philosophy and will engage in scholarly research and publication. Pay will be on the scale £44,620 - £59,914 p.a., and additional allowances (including a taxable and pensionable College housing allowance of £13,000 p.a.) are available.

Candidates should normally have received the degree of PhD: candidates who do not meet this requirement may be considered if they have attained a comparable level of publication.
