Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

OHIO UNIVERSITY, Athens, OH.  The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor. AOS: Ethical Theory and Metaethics.  AOC:  Applied Ethics, particular interests open. Position begins Fall 2015.  PhD in Philosophy is required by time of appointment. Active research interests in contemporary ethical and metaethical theory.  Candidate must also be engaged in applied ethics of a sort that may be of value to broader university and community activities and discussions.  Teaching requirements will be at both the graduate and undergraduate level, usually two courses per semester. Interest in dedicated and innovative undergraduate teaching is required. College, University and Community service are part of the position’s expectations. Interest in interdisciplinary outreach is welcomed.  Salary competitive and negotiable.
