SUMMARY: Enrolling a diverse community of traditional-age and working adult students, Siena Heights is a coeducational North Central institution founded and sponsored by the Adrian Dominican Sisters in the liberal arts tradition. It offers associate’s, bachelor’s, master’s and specialist’s degrees. The University is headquartered in Adrian, Mich., with degree completion centers in Southfield, Benton Harbor, Monroe, Battle Creek, Lansing, Jackson and Online. The College of Arts and Sciences at Siena Heights University invites applications for a position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2015. RESPONSIBILITIES: The College of Arts and Sciences at Siena Heights University invites applications for a position at the assistant professor level, beginning August 2015. AOS: Open AOC: Philosophy of Religion, History of Philosophy (especially History of Medieval Philosophy.) The successful candidate will be expected to teach interdisciplinary courses in the College’s liberal arts curriculum described here: http://www.sienaheights.edu/Portals/0/LAS%20Brochure.pdf. The position carries a 4/4 teaching load, usually with three preparations. REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidates will be able to teach courses in symbolic logic and critical thinking. PhD preferred, but ABD with a firm defense date will be considered.
