Job description |
The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning fall 2015. Duties include teaching undergraduate courses along with the usual non-teaching duties. The philosopher hired must play an instrumental role in growing the Department’s Mind-Brain Specialization. AOS: philosophy of mind, philosophy of psychology, philosophy of cognitive science, neuro-philosophy, or a related area. The philosopher will be expected to teach courses in core areas of analytic philosophy. Competence in philosophy of science and ability to contribute to the Philosophy & Medicine Specialization will be strongly preferred. Ph.D. in philosophy should be completed by August 16, 2015.
