Department of Philosophy and Liberal Studies

AOS: Ethics and Applied Ethics AOC:  Critical Thinking, Logic, Aesthetics, Global Justice, Introduction to Philosophy

We are seeking a candidate who has a strong commitment to philosophy and teaching philosophy to undergraduates in our Justice Matters core curriculum, particularly its values component.  The successful candidate will also teach one course a semester in the Engagements in the Common Good curriculum which is writing intensive, interdisciplinary, and introduces students to specific social justice issues, both local and global.  Total semester course load is 12 credit hours.

Cabrini College is a small Roman Catholic college outside Philadelphia that welcomes people of all faiths.  It is committed to academic excellence, social justice, and civic engagement.  All students fulfill a core curriculum grounded in the liberal arts and personal values.

Ph. D. required by start of appointment.  New hire should be able to continue and expand Cabrini’s social justice curriculum by working with community partners at the local and/or global level. Also sought are demonstrable organization and leadership skills that can be used to enhance the department and the college.
