Merrimack College invites applications for a one-year term (non-tenure track) position as a Lecturer in Philosophy beginning fall 2015 with the possibility of renewal. The successful applicant will teach at least three four-credit courses per semester and may be a candidate for a tenure-track position that may begin fall 2016. AOS: Biomedical Ethics or Political Philosophy or Ethics AOC: Candidate must be competent to teach Biomedical Ethics and Political Philosophy Applicants should have experience teaching at the undergraduate level and have a PhD by the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be willing to teach Introduction to Philosophy and may be able to teach sections in Merrimack’s Honors Program. Multidisciplinary and intercultural perspectives are welcome. Located 25 miles north of Boston, Merrimack College is a medium-sized Catholic college of the Liberal Arts and Professions committed to the principles of academic freedom as articulated by the AAUP.
