Job description |
The Roger Mudd Center for Ethics welcomes applications for the 2015-2016 Mudd Center for Ethics Postdoctoral Fellowship. The successful candidate will be someone with substantial normative research interests in moral and political philosophy or political theory, and whose work addresses issues related to “The Ethics of Citizenship” (which will be the focus of Mudd Center programming in 2015-2016). Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy or Political Science. Postdoctoral fellows will be expected to teach two courses during the year, including a first-year seminar in the fall on The Ethics of Citizenship, and an upper-division course in the winter (chosen in consultation with the Director). In addition, the Mudd Ethics Fellow will be expected to participate actively in Mudd Center activities and to help foster an interdisciplinary ethics community across the College of Liberal Arts, the Williams School of Commerce, Economics, and Politics, and the Law School. The successful candidate will be someone who has completed his or her degree by June of 2015, and who is no more than three years from the awarding of his or her degree (i.e., June of 2012). The appointment will be for one year, beginning on July 1, 2015 and ending on June 30, 2016. The application deadline is February 13, 2015 (5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time).
