One Year Term Position in Phillosophy (EXPIRED)

While the AOS and AOC are open we are looking for someone who can teach a variety of topics in philosophy.  Regis University is a Jesuit liberal arts college and philosophy courses connect with the humanities broadly speaking rather than focusing on narrow disciplinary questions; courses emphasize Jesuit themes such as ethical inquiry and justice. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and will demonstrate an ability to teach critical thinking, analytic writing, and critical reading. The successful candidate will be able to offer upper level philosophy courses in her/his areas of interest, a freshman seminar whose primary focus is instruction in writing, introduction to philosophy courses, and a course in our interdisciplinary core.  Interested candidates should review the overview of the integrative core here: http://www.regis.edu/RC/Academics/Core-Studies.aspx to get an idea of the sorts of courses that could work well here.

Ph.D. in Philosophy in hand at time of application and prior teaching experience.

We will conduct a review of the applications and contact semi-finalists for responses to our mission statement; we will then conduct interviews by Skype with selected applicants and based on these interviews select our finalist.

Salary:  $40,000-$45,000 depending upon teaching experience.
