Position No. 00050584. The Philosophy Department of Southern Methodist University seeks to fill a full time Lecturer position beginning August 2015. One year contract, renewable. 8 courses per year (4/semester), all undergraduate. No research or service duties. Ph.D. in philosophy required. AOS: Open; AOC: Applied Ethics (History of Modern Philosophy also desirable). Teaching is lower division but there is some possibility of upper division course teaching, such as History of Modern Philosophy or Bioethics. Evidence of teaching excellence required.
