Job description

We are seeking a specialist in Environmental Philosophy with demonstrated research expertise in one or more of the following: Environmental Politics, Philosophy of Technology, Climate Ethics, Women and the Environment.  We offer a Master’s degree in Environmental Philosophy and the successful candidate may advise graduate students and serve on thesis committees.

Expectations include teaching four courses during the academic year. The successful applicant will be expected to continue to engage in scholarly research and to present on their research activity in appropriate campus venues including the department’s philosophy forum.  In addition, the successful applicant will be expected to become familiar with the university’s and department’s degree requirements in order to assist the department in undergraduate advising activities, as well as participate in additional service to the department, university, and discipline.
