Job description |
The Network for Sensory Research in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Toronto, Mississauga has an opening for a post-doctoral fellow specializing in philosophy of perception and/or perceptual epistemology, starting September 1st, 2015. The appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. The appointee will report to Mohan Matthen, Canada Research Chair in Philosophy of Perception. S/he will be co-supervised by Jennifer Nagel and Jonathan Weisberg. Duties will include research on his or her own projects (60%), research support for the supervising faculty and supervision of graduate student discussion groups (20%), and administrative support for the Network for Sensory Research activities (20%), including liaison with the Network’s partners, support for grant applications, and organizational work for Network workshops. The stipend for this position will be $40, 500 per year plus statutory benefits. The applicant must have a PhD in Philosophy at the time of appointment.
