Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Philosophy and Comparative Religion at Cleveland State University invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position. AOS: Ancient and Medieval Philosophy; AOC: History of Philosophy.

Duties: Consist of teaching 12 credit hours/4 courses per semester including Ancient, Medieval, and Early Modern philosophy as well as other introductory level courses, including ethics.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Philosophy in hand by July 1, 2015; Evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness; AOS and AOC as specified above.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching Ancient, Medieval or (other) History of Philosophy courses; evidence of teaching achievement; record of scholarship.

Position begins August 17, 2015. Salary commensurate with qualifications.
