The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Philosophy position in the History, Philosophy and Political Science Department. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio offering primarily associate degrees, with an enrollment of approximately 5900 students. Faculty responsibilities include teaching a variety of Philosophy courses including, but not limited to, Ethics and Contemporary Moral Issues. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the governance and committee work of the department, college, and university.  

Job Description: On a full-time basis Faculty Members principal academic functions include teaching, discovering, creating and reporting knowledge.   

Minimum Qualifications: Appropriate academic degree related to department specifications and prior academic experience.

Position Qualification: (Minimums) A PhD in philosophy is required. Candidates are required to have taught philosophy courses full time in higher education for at least two academic years. That experience must have included teaching at least one course in each of the following areas: feminist philosophy, moral philosophy, medical ethics and business ethics. Candidates will be required to show a discipline-based peer reviewed publication.
