Job description

The Department of Philosophy, University of Geneva, is inviting applications for a Ph.D. fellowship funded for three years by the Swiss National Science Foundation. 

The Ph.D. student will work on a project titled “Simulation and Counterfactual Reasoning in Neuroscience”. The project will be part of a research network titled  “What if?” involving the universities of Konstanz, HU Berlin, LMU Munich and Geneva (http://cms.uni-konstanz.de/what-if/the-project/2015-2018/subproject-p5/).

Applicants should have recently completed a Masters degree in philosophy or in neuroscience or computer science with additional training in philosophy. He or she is about to start a Ph.D., has excellent communication skills in English and is willing to engage in interdisciplinary discussion. 

The stipend will be 47'040, 48'540, and 50'040 CHF in the first, second and third year respectively. The start date is negotiable, but should be in 2015.
