DREXEL UNIVERSITY, Philadelphia, PA. Asst. Teaching Prof., one-year full-time appointment beginning winter quarter 2016, possibly followed by a renewable one-, two-, or three-year contract. Ph.D. prior to appointment preferred. Assistant Teaching Professors teach four (4) undergraduate courses per quarter, 10 weeks per quarter, and 3 quarters per year. The successful candidate will show evidence of outstanding teaching abilities and be qualified to teach a wide variety of undergraduate philosophy courses, including Feminist Philosophy, Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Reasoning, Ethics, and at least one area in Applied Ethics. While teaching professors are encouraged to publish, doing so is not a condition of employment. Usual service duties. Undergraduates at Drexel University may major and minor in philosophy.
