Visiting Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The new Department of Philosophy at Montclair State University invites applications for the full-time, one-year position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy, to begin 1 September 2015. This is a contract faculty position for the academic year 2015/16 only.

The area of specialty is open, but our department has teaching needs in the following areas: Philosophy of Mind, History of Modern Philosophy, and Metaphysics. Duties include teaching four courses per semester (courses in our philosophy major as well as introductory courses). No service or advising will be expected. We will encourage the individual to engage in scholarly research and to present on her or his research once or twice in the department's philosophy colloquia or workshops.
