Job description |
AOS: Ethics and Ethical Theory. AOC: open, but with preference given to areas that complement but do not duplicate areas already covered by current continuing faculty. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to teach high-quality undergraduate and graduate (M.A. level) courses, maintain a strong research agenda, and perform service to the department and university. We seek a candidate who will flourish in a pluralist department that emphasizes the history of philosophy and the teaching of primary texts. Require: Must have PhD in philosophy (by December 31, 2016 for appointment to second year); teaching experience required. Strong candidates will demonstrate ability to teach high-quality undergraduate and graduate (M.A. level) courses, maintain a strong research agenda, and perform service to the department and university.
