Postdoctoral Fellowship (starting in September 2016 and lasting up to Three Years) (EXPIRED)

Washington University in St. Louis, the Department of Philosophy, is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Fellowship (starting in September 2016 and lasting up to three years) in the Philosophy of Neuroscience housed within the Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology (PNP) program.

The ideal applicant will have the educational background in neuroscience or its history and a demonstrated ability to foster formal and informal interactions among philosophers, psychologists, and neuroscientists.

The fellow is expected to develop a sustained research program in the philosophy of neuroscience to be presented at local colloquia and published in journal articles or a book.

The fellow will teach one course per year and assist in a second course on the philosophy of neuroscience. The fellow is also expected to participate in the intellectual life of the program: to attend colloquia in philosophy, neuroscience, and psychology, to participate in research meetings and reading groups, to assist in coordinating events and functions.

The fellow must have their Ph.D. in hand by start of the appointment.
