Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, invites applications for one tenure stream position with a specialization in ethics, normally at the rank of Assistant Professor. The Department is searching for an outstanding scholar, engaged in innovative and potentially ground-breaking work, who will help advance our research profile, which includes strengths in ethics. The Department is currently building its research profile, in relation to increasingly transdisciplinary work on ethics at Concordia, and to the university’s strategic directions. We are seeking a strong teacher who will contribute to our teaching strengths, be active in our graduate program, and be capable of developing and renewing our curriculum.

Applications must consist of a cover letter, a current CV, copies of recent publications, a statement of teaching philosophy/interests, a statement of research achievements and plans, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
