Job description

This position is one of several new cluster hires in the Citizenship, Rights, and Cultural Belonging Transdisciplinary Area of Excellence (CRCB-TAE) (see http://binghamton.edu/tae/citizenship-rights-cultural-belonging/). A successful candidate (i) will have long term research interests and intellectual investments and an established record of research and scholarly publications in the area of human rights, and (ii) an interest in the development and leadership of a human rights research center that will bring together social scientists, humanists and others to pursue collaborative work. A track record of external funding is desirable. The search for this position will involve the CRCB-TAE and the following Binghamton University departments: Anthropology, Asian and Asian-American Studies, English, History, Human Development, German and Russian Studies, Philosophy, and Political Science. The successful candidate will join the faculty of one of these departments in addition to being associated with the CRCB-TAE in a leadership capacity. Qualifications:  Ph.D., established record of research/scholarship in human rights, university or other leadership.
