Development Ethics - Open Rank

Location: Notre Dame, IN

The University of Notre Dame’s Keough School of Global Affairs invites applications for a new faculty position in development ethics.

Applicants may come from any related discipline, and should have an interest in interdisciplinary cooperation. Joint or concurrent appointments in the appropriate departments are possible. Candidates should normally have terminal degrees in their fields. Research and life experiences in developing countries are desirable but not required. The position is for a tenured or tenure-track faculty member but is open as to rank. We are seeking scholars interested in playing a leading role in shaping the initial trajectory of the Keough School and establishing it as a significant new initiative in global affairs.

This position is part of the founding of the first new school at Notre Dame in nearly a century. Oriented toward research, teaching and service dedicated to the advancement of integral human development, the Keough School (http://keough.nd.edu/) will support research on critical issues of international development, peace, human rights, governance, and the role of religion in global affairs; offer a master’s degree in global affairs, including with a specialization in international development; and support a range of innovative dual-degree programs and undergraduate programs to enhance students’ preparation for leadership in an increasingly interconnected world.

Candidates for a senior position are asked to submit a letter of interest and a CV. Junior candidates should submit a CV and writing sample, and should arrange for the submission of at least three letters of reference.

Nominations and inquiries may be sent via email to:
