Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Chapman University seeks applications for the position of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) in the Department of Philosophy, Wilkinson College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, beginning August 2016. The area of specialization for the appointment is moral philosophy, broadly construed.

The successful candidate will teach a wide range of undergraduate philosophy courses, perform service to the Department and the University, and conduct research leading to publication in philosophy. The teaching load is 3-2 on a semester system. Candidates will have a Ph.D. in philosophy and will show evidence of excellent teaching and an active research agenda. Tenure-track faculty are expected to develop and maintain an active research agenda for future tenure consideration and are evaluated on their research/scholarly activity, teaching and service.
