Recipients will spend AY2016-2017 in residence at Cornell University, and will receive a $65,000 stipend plus approximately $10,000 for research. We are interested in funding new work in philosophy related to the nature, structure, psychological role, and normative aspects of hope, optimism, and related states (including despair, pessimism, and so on).  We regret that wholly historical projects cannot be funded.
