Community College of Philadelphia is the largest public institution of higher education in the City. The Department of History, Philosophy and Religious Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Philosophy beginning Fall 2016.

The Department seeks applicants who are active scholars committed to promoting student success both within and beyond the classroom. Applicants will demonstrate an interest in contributing to the future of the Department and the life of the College.

Qualified applicants will have a at least a Master’s degree in Philosophy. Applicants should have online teaching experience or a strong willingness to engage students through online learning. Applicants must possess teaching experience and academic expertise sufficient for a broad range of introductory philosophy courses. The ideal applicant will also possess the potential to teach more advanced courses within our Liberal Arts – Honors program.

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Philosophy.

Interdisciplinary training and/or teaching experience.
