Job description

The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship, commencing August 2016.  AOS: Modern Philosophy  AOC:  Open with Philosophy of language preferred.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. from an accredited institution and demonstrate excellence in undergraduate teaching, the ability to establish a scholarly research program, and a willingness to be active in service to the college and professional community.  Standard teaching load is 8 courses/year (4/semester); initial tenure-track appointment is for 7 courses/year (4-3 teaching load).  Under ordinary circumstances, the number of course preps will be kept to no more than two/semester.
