Required Qualifications Education: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy. ABD may apply, degree must be completed by August, 2016. Special Knowledge and Abilities: Additional Area of Competence: One or more of Environmental Philosophy, Philosophy of Technology, Philosophy of Information, Philosophy and Public Policy. Experience: Experience teaching, or demonstrated willingness to develop, online/hybrid courses; experience teaching diverse students, courses in the major, and general education. Preferred Qualifications Candidates who can contribute to teaching in more than one of the listed Areas of Competence, the university’s initiatives in sustainability, online curriculum development and assessment, the department’s interest in digital humanities scholarship and teaching, the department’s interest in experimental philosophy, and the university’s and department’s initiatives in student access, advisement, retention, and graduation.
