Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy

 Centre College invites applications for the position of one-year visiting assistant professor of Philosophy, beginning August 2016. Area of specialization: open.  Area of competence:  philosophy of science or experimental philosophy.  Course load is six per year. Teaching responsibilities may include introductory courses, contributions to the First-Year Humanities sequence, and a first-year seminar over the winter term. Candidates should have Ph.D. by start date. They must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching in a student-centered environment. Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience teaching and mentoring a diverse student body with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
